Job Opportunity: Volunteer Maryland Coordinator
CHEARS and Greenbelt Public Works are looking for motivated individual to work on several volunteer programs imitative in the Greenbelt Community!
The Volunteer Maryland Coordinate will work with Chesapeake Education, Arts and Research Society (CHEARS) and the City of Greenbelt Public Works to recruit and coordinate volunteers, and support environmental stewardship programming such as the Three Sisters Demonstration Gardens, Greenbelt Food Forest, permaculture workshops, Forest Stewardship volunteer Program, and more. Various jiont events include Earth Day and Arbor Day.
This is an 11month, full time paid position as a member of the Voluntnteer Maryland, AmeriCorps program beginning on September 25, 2013 and concluding in September 12, 2014 for a total 1,700 hours of service during the term (40 hours/week. Full-time VMCs receive a living stipend, an education award, and health insurance if they are not already covered.
