Holy Cross Lutheran Church has been active in the Greenbelt community for more than 65 years. It plays host to several annual events, including regular yard sales and the running of a thrift store adjacent to the church. Members of Holy Cross are also heavily involved in clubs at the church, including the Life After Fifty group, which focuses on fellowship and fun for senior citizens, and the C.S. Lewis book club; both meet monthly. There is also a bell choir and a separate vocal choir for members.
