Title: Invasive Plant Removal
Date/Time: August 22nd, 2012; 10-1pm.
Duration: 3 hours
Location: Fort Dupont Park is a 361-acre park located in Southeast DC run by the National Park Service. It is the second-largest natural woodland area in DC (the largest being Rock Creek Park, also run by the NPS). The small streams and tributaries located in Fort Dupont flow directly into the Anacostia River. The closest Metro stations are Anacostia and Navy Yard (both on the Green line), Minnesota Ave. (on the Orange line), or Benning Rd. (on the Blue line). There should be connections to the U2 and V7 buses towards the Archives on weekdays, and the V8 on weekends. Visit Metro’s website for more detailed information
