Shuttle-UM Kicks Off For Greenbelt Residents

Shuttle-UM services have kicked-off for Greenbelt, MD residents, providing transportation between Greenbelt and the University of Maryland with stops in between. Nineteen passes had been issued as of Tuesday out of the 1,000 passes that are available, according to Assistant City Manager David Moran.

"This week we're rolling out the availability of the Shuttle-UM system to Greenbelt residents," City Manager Michael McLaughlin told City Council at its regular meeting Monday.

Moran told council Monday that it was the first day the city had issued shuttle passes. He said they are $10 and available at the or the . They will eventually be available at , according to Moran.

Greenbelt citizens can get a pass by paying the $10, filling out a short application form and showing proof of city residency, Moran said.

Shuttle-UM provided the attached map, stop listings and schedule. Administrative Assistant Amber Ragan said that the shuttles have Wi-Fi and a bike rack.
