Police Blotter: Sept. 23-30

The Greenbelt Police released an activity report of crime in the last week.

Sept. 23:  An attempted carjacking took place on the 9000 block of Breezewood Terrace at 10:02 p.m. Several suspects, described as black males, 16-18 years old, wearing white t-shirts and blue jeans, unsuccessfully attempted to force a victim out of their car in order to steal it.

Strong armed robbery was reported at the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway at 11:51 p.m. Several suspects, described as black males approximately 18-years-old, assaulted the victim and took the victim's property.

Sept. 24: A vehicle's door was damaged at the 9300 block of Edmonston Road.

A door was damaged during a domestic dispute at the 9300 block of Edmonston Road at 12:57 p.m.

A burglary was reported at the 6100 block of Breezewood Drive at 8:35 p.m., nothing was taken.

Sept. 25: Two laptops and a cell phone were taken from a home at the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway at 5:34 a.m.

A gray 2006 Nissan Altima with Maryland tags was taken from the 6200 block of Breezewood Drive.

A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle at the 9100 block of Edmonston Court.

A windshield was damaged on a vehicle at the 6100 block of Breezewood Drive.

A GPS unit and stereo system were taken from a vehicle at the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane.

A stereo was taken from a vehicle at the 7900 block of Mandan Road.

Attempted theft from a vehicle was reported at the 8000 block of Mandan Road.

A green 1996 Honda Accord with Maryland tags was taken from the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road.

Sept. 26: A set of Maryland tags were taken from a vehicle at the intersection of Greenbrook Drive and Hanover Parkway.

A rock was thrown through a window at the 6200 block of Springhill Court at 7:53 p.m.

Sept. 27: A gray 2000 Mercedes C280 with Maryland tags was taken from the 8100 block of Mandan Terrace.

Attempted theft from an vehicle was reported at the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway.

A GPS unit and a suit were taken from the 7800 block of Somerset Court.

Strong armed robbery was reported at the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road at 11:24 a.m. The suspect, described as a black male in his 20s, 6'1", medium build, wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and a white knit cap, approached and assaulted the victim then took their property.

Graffiti was found on the playground at the 8300 block of Canning Terrace at 1:02 p.m.

Graffiti was found on a door at the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway at 10:50 p.m.

Richard Edward Teasley, 24, of Laurel was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other citations, at a traffic stop at the 9200 block of Springhill Lane at 11:59 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Sept. 28: A set of tires and rims were taken from a vehicle at the 9100 block of Edmonston Terrace.

Attempted theft from an vehicle was reported at the 7800 block of Mandan Parkway.

Sept. 29: A recovered stolen vehicle was reported taken from the 8100 block of Mandan Terrace. The gray 2000 Mercedes C280 with Maryland tags was recovered in the 3500 block of Hayes Street, NE, Washington, D.C. No arrests were made.

Timothy Wayne Morgan, 52, of Greenbelt was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other citations, at a traffic stop at the unit block of Forestway at 9:30 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Sept. 30: A recovered stolen vehicle was reported taken from the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road. The green 1996 Honda Accord with Maryland tags was recovered in the 900 block of Shepherd Street, NW, Washington, D.C. No arrests were made.

A resident juvenile was petitioned for disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest at the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway at 1:45 p.m. The subject was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Two laptops were taken from the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway at 8:28 p.m.
