Police Blotter: Oct. 21- 28

The Greenbelt Police released an activity report of crime in the last week.

 

Oct. 21:  Jody Devon Wright, 19, of Seat Pleasant was arrested and charged with trespassing on posted property at the 5800 block Cherrywood Lane at 1:56 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

A television and quilted comforter were taken from a home at the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway at 3:29 p.m.

Tires were cut on a car at the 7 court of Laurel Hill Road.

Oct. 22: A GPS unit was taken from a car at the 6700 block of Lake Park Drive.

A navigation system, cellphone and currency were taken from two vehicles at the 6500 block of Lake Park Drive.

A car window was broken at the 6700 block of Lake Park Drive.

The windows of two cars were broken at the 6500 block of Lake Park Drive.

A computer bag was taken from a car at the 7800 block of Cloister Place.

A car window was broken at the corner of Greenbrook Drive and Hanover Parkway.

A GPS unit and shoulder bag were taken from a car at the 7500 block of Greenbrook Drive.

A green 2001 Dodge Ram Van with no tags was taken from the 7200 block of Morrison Drive.

A stereo system was taken from the 7200 block of Hanover Drive.

 

Oct. 23: Dayssi Magaly Morerea, 26, of Hyattsville was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol among other charges at a traffic stop at Greenbelt Road and Frankfort Drive at 5:05 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

A stereo system was taken from the 7200 block of Hanover Drive.

Tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle at the 6500 block of Lake Park Drive.

Oct. 24: A green/gray 2004 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags was taken from the 5700 block of Greenbelt Metro Drive.

A vehicle was scratched at the 9100 block of Springhill Lane.

Oct. 25: A door was scratched at the 9100 block of Springhill Lane at 6:01 a.m.

Damon Norman Washington, 30, of Riverdale was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property at the 6100 block of Breezewood Court at 5:23 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

A vehicle was scratched at the 6800 block of Springshire Way.

A car window was broken at the 7200 block of Mandan Road.

Oct. 26: Attempted burglarly reported at the 8000 block Lakecrest Drive at 1:29 a.m.

Justin Lewis Boardley, 22, and Henry Samuel Boardley, 23, of Riverdale were arrested and charged with trespassing on private property at the 6100 block of Springhill Terrace at 10:57 a.m. Both suspects were released on citation pending trial.

A purse, backpack and cellphone were taken from the 100 block of Westway at 8:58 a.m.

A black 1999 Toyota Rav 4 with Maryland tags, reported stolen through the Prince George's County Police was recovered. No arrests were made.

Attempted theft from auto was reported at the 100 block of Westway.

Oct. 27: Jewelry was taken from a home at the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway at 3:37 p.m.

A robbery was reported at the intersection of Springhill Lane and Springhill Drive at 6:05 p.m. The suspect approached the victim displaying a handgun and demanded money. The suspect is described as a black male, black hair, brown eyes, wearing a white shirt and khaki pants.

A bookbag with books was taken from the 7500 block of Mandan Road.

Oct. 28: A non-resident juvenile was petitioned for possession of drug paraphernalia at the 7700 block of Hanover Parkway at 10:27 a.m., and released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services. In addition, Jeremiah Patrick Collins, 18, of  Greenbelt was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Daniel Richard Dieffenbach, 51, of Owings was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol among other charges at a traffic stop at the 7500 block of Greenbelt Road at 2:59 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

A strong armed robbery was reported at the 100 block of Westway at 8:41 p.m. Two suspects approached the victim, assaulted him and took his cell phone. The suspects are described as a black male, tall, 200 pounds, black hair, brown eyes and a black make 5'9", thin, black hair, brown eyes. Both suspects were wearing a black t-shirt and dark pants.

A rear Maryland tag, reported stolen through the Prince George's County Police was recovered. No arrests were made.

The windows on a few cars were broke at the 100 block of Greenhill Road.

The windows on two cars were broken at the 100 block of Northway.

The windows on two cars were broken at the 2 court of Eastway.
