Police Blotter: August 4 - 11

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aug 4: A carjacking occurred on the 8000 block of Mandan Road at 12:06 p.m. Two suspects approached the victim, displayed a handgun, and took the victim’s vehicle, a silver 2003 Toyota Corolla with Maryland tags. The suspects are described as black males, 17-18 years old, 5’8”-6’0”, thin build, wearing dark clothes. The vehicle was later recovered by the Prince George's County Police at Annapolis Road and Greenvale Parkway in Lanham. No arrests were made.

Aug 5: Kwaku Boadi Antwi, 38, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road at 11:14 a.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Tony Donelle Duckett, 28, of Capitol Heights, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane at 7:12 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Esan Z. Williams, 33, of Jamesburg, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on the 5700 block of Cherrywood Lane at 11:12 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Anthony Lawrence Emerson, 25, of Glenn Dale, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia near the intersection of Cherrywood Lane and Springhill Drive at 11:49 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Aug 6: A resident juvenile was petitioned for possession of marijuana on the 7600 block of Greenbelt Road at 1:53 a.m. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

A bucket was thrown through a window on the 9300 block of Edmonston Road at 4:30 a.m.

Electronics were taken from a residence on the 9300 block of Edmonston Road at 6:24 a.m.

A green 1998 Dodge Caravan with Virginia tags was taken on the 7800 block of Walker Drive.

Aug 7: A non-resident juvenile was petitioned for motor vehicle theft, theft over $1000 and malicious destruction of property, after being stopped in a white 1993 Grand Marquis with Maryland tags that had been reported stolen through Prince George’s County Police. The vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Greenbelt Road at 3:03 a.m. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

An attempted vehicle theft occurred on the 6300 block of Golden Triangle Drive.

Aug 8: Two resident juveniles were petitioned for trespassing on private property on the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway at 9:05 p.m. Both juveniles were released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Brandon Maurice Compton, 23, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop near the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Route 295 at 11:55 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Aug 9: Graffiti was found in the tunnel near Crescent Road and Gardenway at 9:24 a.m.

Aug 10: Justin Cline Pierce, 30, was arrested and charged with possession of MDMA (colloquially known as ecstasy) and false statement on the 6200 block of Springhill Court at 1:39 a.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Jorge Miguel Motolinia, 27, of New Carrollton, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop near the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Crescent Road at 11:23 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

A blue 1992 Toyota Celica with Maryland tags, reported stolen through Laurel Police Department, was recovered on the Unit block of Crescent Road. No arrests were made.

An attempted vehicle theft occurred on the Unit block of Southway.

A power washer was taken from a vehicle parked near Springhill Court and Edmonston Road.

Aug 11: Jose Luis Blanco-Tovilla, 44, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop on the 6200 block of Springhill Drive at 12:42 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

A rock was thrown through a window on the 9100 block of Edmonston Road at 11:44 a.m.

Two homes were broken into and electronics and jewelry were among the items taken on the 9200 block of Edmonston Road at 6:01 p.m.

Edgar Adonay Campos Ayala, 23, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop near the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Cherrywood Lane at 7:01 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Guy Elliott Mcqueen, 26, of Westminster, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and false statement on the Unit block of Crescent Road at 10:21 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

A door lock was damaged on the 8000 block of Mandan Road.

A burgundy Chevrolet Trailblazer with Maryland tags was taken on the 5800 block of Cherrywood Lane.
