PGPD To Host Endurance Competition

Tuesday, Sept. 28 Prince George's County Police Department to host an Iron Team Endurance Competition.

You've heard about the rivalry between Army and Navy, but what about the police force vs. military force?

The public will have a chance to see who would win during a battle of strength and fortitude during the first annual Iron Team Endurance Competition Sept. 28.

The competition, hosted by the Prince George's County Police Department's Special Operations Division, will challenge each 4-person team to a set of grueling events.

Some of the exercises are a 2.5-mile trail run, 25-yard equipment carry, 25-yard pole carry, 35-yard water crossing and 50-yard officer rescue.

The Endurance Competition will take place at 9 a.m. at Supplee Park in Laurel.
