Drumbeat please. All summer readers nominated and voted for their favorite Prince George's County businesses, events and places in categories ranging from Best Burger to Best Yoga Instructor. We've tallied the votes and now it's time to look at Greenbelt's winners.

Readers from all over Prince George's County chose Greenbelt as top in three areas and awarded a Greenbelter with a second place as well.

Best Festival

The Greenbelt Labor Day Festival was a write in candidate here, and still won. Once the votes and comments were counted, the Greenbelt Labor Day Festival came out on top.

Patch reader Cherie Jones states, "Greenbelt Labor Day Festival! Parade. Pageant. Carnival. Live music. Amazing food. Can't beat it!"

Best Movie Theater

The Old Greenbelt Movie Theatre took home the gold for best theatre.

Reader Bennet Pomerantz stated the movies it gets are more art-house.

Best Mechanic

Capitol Cadillac beat out its Prince George's competitors to win the title of best mechanic. 

"Capitol Cadillac is a true local gem!" says reader Libby Hale. "They are definitely the best in the area for any repairs and service, as well as an honest and trustworthy dealership."

Best Yoga Instructor

Greenbelt's own Gretchen Schock placed, taking second in best yoga instructor. Reader Jenn Errick says quite simply, "she is the best!"
