Greenbelt Men Charged with Intent to Distribute Drugs in School Zone

Police arrested two Greenbelt men on drug charges near Springhill Lake Elementary and Greenbelt Middle School.

 

Police arrested two Greenbelt men Tuesday and charged them with possession with intent to distribute drugs in a school zone at 3:41 p.m., according to Greenbelt Police. They were arrested on Cherrywood Lane at Breezewood Drive, police report.

The location police provided is near Springhill Lake Elementary and Greenbelt Middle School.

In addition to the school-zone related charge, Ivan Golovin Trittipoe, 49, of Greenbelt, was charged with possession of drugs - not marijuana, and with driving while impaired by drugs, among other charges, at a traffic stop.

Justin Cline Pierce, 31, of Greenbelt, was a passenger in the car, police state. In addition to the school-zone related charge, Pierce was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drugs - not marijuana, according to police.

Trittipoe and Pierce were released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner, police report.
