"Dog Sees God" Opens at the Greenbelt Arts Center Tonight

Off-Broadway show for adults comes to Greenbelt for a two-week run.

The Dreadnaught Theatre Company is debuting its version of Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, an adult-oriented show at the Greenbelt Arts Center on Friday, July 6 at 8:00 p.m.

An “unauthorized” parody of the familiar Peanuts comic strip, Dog Sees God follows versions of well-known comic characters growing up and experiencing sexual relations, eating disorders, violence, identity issues and even drug use.

Dog Sees God has played numerous off-Broadway theatres since 2004 and many Hollywood stars have played various roles, including Anna Paquin, Jennifer Esposito, Ian Somerhalder and Eliza Dushku.

Tickets are $17 for general admission and $14 for seniors/students. The show will run for the next two weeks:

  • July 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, at 8:00 p.m.
  • July 8, 15, 22, at 2:30 p.m.

The show contains strong language and adult subject matter that may be offensive to some.
