Car Fire on Inner Loop of Capital Beltway Extinguished

There were no injuries in the car fire.

A car fire on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway near the northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Rt. 295) ramp early Monday evening was extinguished within an hour after it was reported, according to Sgt. John Revel with the Maryland State Police.

An emergency call of the car fire came in around 5:30 p.m., according to police. About an hour later, the fire was out.  Revel said the car was on the right shoulder and the occupants were able to get out safely
