Greenbelt Cub Scout Pack 202 and Boy Scout Troop 746 went door to door within central Greenbelt this morning November 3 distributing bags for the annual “Scouting for Food” food drive service project.

It was inspiring to see so many of our youngest residents embracing Greenbelt’s volunteering spirit by coming out early on a cold windy Saturday morning to assist those less fortunate within our community. 

Unfortunately not every house received a donation bag due to a bag shortage, challenging cold weather conditions and little feet.

Everyone is welcome to join the scouts Saturday November 10, 2012 at the Greenbelt Community Church meeting at 9am to assist with the food drive bag pick-up.   Those who are interested in making a donation are asked to have non-perishable food items placed within the bags for pick-up between 9am and noon.
