Leading Player
Any age, any gender (The Narrarator/Storyteller. Charismatic and smooth-talking which hides a slightly sinister personality underneath. Manipulative. A typical "show-man/show-woman".)
Pippin
18-30 (Representative of the "Common Man". Naive, but willing to learn. Searching for his purpose in life.)
Charles
Pippin's father - 50-85 (Stern, Militaristic and reliant on tradition)
Lewis
Pippin's half-brother - 18-30 (Also Militaristic and a "body-builder". Athletic, but not very smart)
Fastrada
Lewis's mother - 40s-50s (Scheming, vixenish and shrewd.)
Berthe
Pippin's Grandmother - 50s-70s (Older woman with a "young" attitude. Fun-loving.)
Catherine
A Widow - 20s-30s (Down-to-earth and understanding)
Theo
Catherine's Son - 10-15 (Lovable boy who helps bring out Pippin's character. May be played by a either gender.)
Ensemble (4 Males/4 Females)
Any age, any gender. (Consists of a troupe of players who may play many bit parts and should be good dancers and singers. An extension of the      Leading Player, they help to tell the story, but also serve to manipulate Pippin to the Leading Player's ends.)
